1. General Overview
Soft Echoes is operated independently. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Soft Echoes. We offer this site, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
2. Products and Orders
a. Pre-orders
Some of our products, including the book Speak to the Wind, may be sold on a pre-order basis. The expected shipping date is stated clearly on the product page (e.g. October 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM EAT). By placing a pre-order, you understand that:
- Your payment will be collected immediately upon checkout.
- The product will be shipped on or shortly after the expected release date.
- Shipping delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, but we will communicate any changes via email.
b. Digital Products
For downloadable items (e.g. printable colouring books), your download link will be provided immediately after successful payment. No physical item will be shipped for these products.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) by default. We accept secure payment methods through Selar’s integrated system, including:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Verve
- PayPal
- Mobile Money (where applicable)
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without prior notice. However, prices for already placed orders will remain unchanged.
4. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping is available across Kenya and select international locations. Estimated delivery timelines will be communicated after dispatch.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping addresses. We are not liable for orders not received due to incorrect or incomplete information.
5. Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of our products (especially books and digital downloads), all sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds unless:
- You receive a damaged or defective product.
- You are charged incorrectly (duplicate payments, etc.)
To request a refund or replacement, please email us at [email protected] within 5 days of receiving your order, including your order number and photos (if applicable).
6. Copyright and Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including product descriptions, graphics, images, and the book Speak to the Wind—is the intellectual property of Shirlyne M’mbone Ingolo and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without express written permission.
7. Privacy

8. Limitation of Liability
We make every effort to ensure accurate product information, prompt delivery, and quality service. However, we do not guarantee that your experience will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
In no case shall Soft Echoes or its creator be liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or our products.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, where the business is based. Any disputes shall be resolved under Kenyan jurisdiction.
